The Chevrolet Spark is renowned as being the most affordable model sold by Chevrolet—or by any automaker that operates underneath General Motors. It is a subcompact car that doesn’t really seem to fit into any specific vehicle class. It is an outlier among both sedans and SUVs, and yet it has been performing very well in recent years on the mainstream auto market. In fact, sales figures for the Chevy Spark rose 32 percent between 2018 and 2019. 2020 brought very few—if any—changes to the Chevy Spark. For the 2021 model year, however, the new Spark has undergone many updates and upgrades and is designed with a variety of brand-new features. Keep reading to learn more about the best features of the Chevy Spark and what’s new for its 2021 model.
Versatile Model Range
The Chevrolet Spark is available in four trim levels—the base L trim level, the 1LT, the ACTIV, and the 2LT. All of these trim levels come equipped with different features and amenities.
Of course, the base L model is the most affordable of the four trim levels. Its starting price for 2021 is $13,400—making it the most affordable GM vehicle by a long shot. It comes with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, a standard rear vision camera, and 10 airbags.
The 1LT model has a starting price of $15,300. It features 15” alloy wheels and comes with convenient features such as power windows and power locks, remote keyless entry, and steering wheel-mounted controls.
The ACTIV trim level for the 2021 Chevy Spark is a style-focused trim level that starts at $16,400. It features heated leatherette seats in the front row, a unique front grille and rear fascia, and 15” alloy wheels.
The 2LT is the highest trim level for the 2021 Chevy Spark. It has a starting price of $16,800 and comes with leatherette seat trim, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated seats in the front row, and keyless entry and keyless start.
New Color Options
One of the most notable and unique features of the Chevrolet Spark is that it is available in 10 different colors.
For the 2021 model year, the exterior of the Chevrolet Spark is available in multiple new color options. It is newly available in Cayenne Orange and Mystic Blue.
However, two exterior color options were also deleted from the Spark for the 2021 model year. The 2021 Spark will no longer be available in Orange Burst of Raspberry.
Impressive Fuel Efficiency
The 2021 Chevy Trax is a fully gas-powered vehicle. It is not a hybrid or all-electric vehicle that gets any of its power from an electric motor.
Considering the traditional nature of the Trax’s mechanics, the fact that this subcompact car reaches an estimated average gas mileage of 30 MPG on city streets and 38 MPG on the highway—for a combined gas mileage of 34 MPG—is definitely impressive.
Easy to Handle
This car is one of the easiest cars on the market to handle. It is extremely responsive, and its steering and braking systems are precise to ensure a smooth ride that doesn’t feel jerky.
Plus, the compact size of the miniature Chevrolet Spark makes it easy to maneuver this compact sedan around tight turns, into narrow parking spaces, etc.
The 2021 model is packed full of high-tech features that help it keep up with modern standards on the mainstream auto market.
Every 2021 Spark model comes equipped with a 7.0-inch diagonal color touchscreen that connects to the state-of-the-art Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility also comes as a standard feature for the 2021 Spark.
Dual USB ports in the 2021 Spark allow you to stay connected while on the go by helping ensure that your phone and/or other important mobile devices remain charged at all times. As an added bonus, built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi is also available for the 2021 Spark to help you stay even better connected while on the go.
